It is not often you find a matching pair of silver topped English vesta or match strikers.
They are in very good condition with no chips in the glass.
The tops are Sterling silver and both are hall marked Birmingham c.1909
The makers mark could be Henry Sutton Bourne
Each is 2 5/8" diameter ( 67 mm ) x 2 1/8" high ( 55 mm )

Silver Sugar Basket with Ruby Glass Liner

This beautifully crafted and decorated basket, the work of master craftsmen Joseph & Joseph Angell, features four motifs of the Green Man, with scroll and acanthus decoration. There are very clear hallmarks on two of the Green Man motifs and more on the handle.
The ruby glass liner is not original but fits perfectly and enhances the beauty of the piece.
